Confident parents.
Calmer beginnings
Â
At SoCa Baby, we believe that every family deserves to feel informed, confident and supported as they prepare to welcome their baby.

Our evidence-informed sessions go beyond preparing for birth. We explore the realities of the first days and weeks with your newborn, including understanding your baby's cues, feeding, safe sleep, newborn care, infant development and recognising when to seek additional support.

Through practical demonstrations, open discussion and opportunities to ask questions, we aim to make learning accessible, reassuring and relevant to real family life.

At SoCa Baby, our approach is warm and supportive. We want you to leave feeling better prepared, more confident in caring for your baby and reassured that there is support available as you navigate this exciting new chapter.

OUR APPROCH
The story behind SoCa BabyÂ
Born from experience. Built around families.

SoCa Baby began with a simple realisation: every pregnancy journey is different, yet finding the right support and education can sometimes feel difficult.

Our story brings together the experiences of Chloe and Caitlin, whose pregnancies were very different, but who shared the challenge of finding classes that suited their individual needs. Their experiences sparked a conversation about how families could be better supported as they prepared to welcome their babies.

With a background in healthcare, nursing and early years education, we recognised an opportunity to bring professional knowledge together with practical, family-focused learning. SoCa Baby is designed to complement, never replace, the much-needed services provided by the NHS. Our aim is to offer additional opportunities for parents and families to learn, ask questions, practise practical skills and build confidence as they prepare for birth and life with a newborn.

Our name holds a special personal meaning, inspired by Sora and Carter. It reflects the little people at the heart of our story and the family connections that remind us why those early beginnings matter so much.

Through warm, supportive and evidence-informed education, we want every family who joins us to feel welcomed, better prepared and more confident in their own journey into parenthood.

SoCa Baby — Growing Together From the Very BeginningÂ
Expert-Led, Family-First Team
At SoCa Baby, our family-focused, nurse-led approach combines healthcare expertise, evidence-informed education and practical newborn guidance. We help parents build confidence and feel prepared, alongside—not instead of—NHS maternity and health visiting care.
Evidence-informed
Our classes are grounded in current evidence and trusted guidance, giving families clear, practical information to make informed choices with confidence. We explain things simply, answer your questions and help you feel prepared for each stage.
Small groups
We keep our class sizes small to create a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone has time to ask questions, practice skills and feel heard. You will have space to learn at your own pace, share experiences and build confidence.
OUR CLASSES
A class for every stage of your first year
From preparing for birth to navigating those precious first weeks and months, your baby’s development and beyond, our classes grow with you and your family. Discover supportive, practical learning for your journey into parenthood.

NEW BORN TO CRAWLING
Baby Massage
Our baby massage sessions offer a special opportunity to slow down, connect with your baby and enjoy time together. Gentle, responsive touch can support bonding, help babies relax and provide a lovely way to communicate before words develop. Some parents also find massage helpful for settling their baby and easing everyday tummy discomfort, although every baby is different. We’ll guide you through gentle techniques while helping you recognise your baby’s cues and follow their lead. Above all, this is time to connect, learn and enjoy those precious moments together.

NEW BORN TO 18 MONTHS
Baby Sensory
Explore the joy of learning together through playful, sensory experiences designed to support your baby’s early development. Our sessions encourage curiosity, connection and interaction through songs, movement, textures and age-appropriate activities, with Makaton signs introduced to support early communication. A lovely opportunity to bond with your baby, meet other families and enjoy each little milestone as your baby grows.

HALF DAY INFORMATION AND PRACTICAL SESSION
Grandparents' Guide - Caring with Confidence
Babies' needs and safety advice can change over time, and it is natural to have questions when welcoming a new little one into the family. This friendly, informative session helps grandparents refresh their knowledge and feel confident supporting today's parents. We'll explore current guidance on safe sleeping, feeding, everyday baby care and keeping little ones safe, with time to ask questions, share experiences and learn practical tips.
Helping generations grow together, from the very beginning.

PARENT, CARERS & GRANDPARENTS
Paediatric First Aid
Feel more prepared to keep your little one safe. At SoCa Baby, we offer an introduction to paediatric first aid as part of our antenatal course, helping parents, family and grandparents develop awareness of essential safety and emergency response principles. For those wishing to build their knowledge further, we also offer a more in-depth training covering practical skills and how to respond to common childhood emergencies. Our aim is to help you feel more informed, confident and prepared when it matters most.

PRE BIRTH SUPPORT
Antenatal Workshops
Led by NMC-registered pre-birth educators, our antenatal support classes cover birth preparation, feeding choices, safe sleep and fourth-trimester advice. Connect with others who are due to deliver around the same time. Learn and have fun with our practical sessions which will help prepare you for the birth of your baby.
